The Best Investment You Can Make In Life

Let me share something about myself with you... 🤓 I LOVE Learning New Things.

One of the BEST pieces of advice that I have ever received was when I was a young adult woman, trying to decide whether I should invest time and money into a college degree. Looking back I realize it was silly to even question the idea, but I had only witnessed men and a few women do it. I’ve never forgotten this piece of advice someone gave to me; 

“You will never regret investing in your education. Your education is something no one will ever be able to take from you, and you can take everything you learn with you for the rest of your life. You can always use what you learn to return your investment” - I honestly can’t remember who said this but it was life changing. 

Turns out, that statement has been nothing but true. Every degree, credential, certification, and course that I have EVER taken has led me to this very place doing what I love. (I have taken ALOT of courses) I never question investing in courses or an opportunity to learn something new because I know for a fact that learning is never a waste of time or resources. It is a form of self love, and an investment in my future self.  

Being a lifelong learner can differentiate between successful and unsuccessful people, good leaders and bad leaders, happy people and unhappy people. 

Your investment into your own personal growth and learning transcends both time and experience. It is an opportunity to no only challenge yourself, but it also helps you to get to know yourself on a deeper level. 

We don't really realize the value until we recognize that there are still places in this world where women are not allowed to attend school JUST because they are women.

Learning is a bet on yourself, and sends the universe an “I’m worth it” energy. It’s a massive up-level that only helps build your self trust. When you continue to show up to the world, with curiosity, and an appetite to learn, you have a limitless potential to grow. 

Did you know women were not allowed to attend university in the United States until 1837?🤦‍♀️

College isn’t the only place where adult learning can happen though! Some of my greatest revelations came from on-line courses. True Confession- I have become an online course junkie!! There are many things that I was taught online that I was never taught in High School OR College and that you still can’t find in High Schools or Colleges. On-line courses can be more accessible, easier to digest, and fun because they are tailored to YOUR interests, pace, and learning preferences. They can connect you to a unique community of people with similar interests as yourself. I wish I had learned some of the concepts I learned through online courses sooner in life, and plan to help share them with my audience so they can be more widely accessible. Even though I have made thousands of dollars off of selling what I have learned online, you don’t have to monetize EVERYTHING you learn from online courses. They can be transformative and life changing just by showing you a new way of thinking. STAY OPEN, STAY CURIOUS!!

When I initially took the leap to invest in my education over 20 years ago, I had no idea it would lead me here, to be an Energy Reader, Life Coach, Breathwork Facilitator, and Writer.

Every time you invest in learning something new, it only leads you to a more expanded understanding of yourself and the world.

 You won’t always see the outcome when you initially make the investment and that is okay. You’re not supposed to always know the outcome right away. That’s the point of learning right? 

I share this with you because I imagine if you are reading this, you probably are wondering which path you should take. Maybe no one else in your friend group or family have invested in themselves in this way and so it is new and a little confusing for you. I was the first woman in my family to earn a college degree so I understand that you may need someone outside of your circle to encourage you to go for it and expand in ways you haven’t even imagined yet. What ever it is that you are considering investing in…if it is an opportunity for you to learn something new…GO FOR IT. I PROMISE you won’t regret it.
